Choosing a name for this new endeavor was the easiest part of the start up journey. I consider paddling to be a near perfect metaphor for any new path one may be headed down.  No matter how much you plan, study, rehearse, etc...there are always unexpected elements. Those surprises may be breathtaking moments of sheer wonder or aggravating setbacks that throw you off course. Either way, we are guaranteed to experience them. You may see timely tailwinds that assist in expediting your journey, or encounter an equally strong headwind that  stifles progress to a frustratingly slow pace. There will be twists and turns around countless corners that will reveal new  challenges and milestones. One thing remains constant. You have to keep paddling.  Stopping will not get you across the finish line, & is not an option. Dig deep, pivot & keep going.
