My name is Shelley deClerk.  I live in Birmingham, Alabama with my husband James & two super awesome kiddos. Here's a quick recap of how I arrived at writing this bio...

The recent pandemic held some hidden potential for me. During the height of lock down, I learned to venture outside of my personal comfort zone as I embraced my new "outdoorsy" self. Paddling became my new hobby, & by hobby I mean obsession.

 

Anticipating exciting adventures that I would normally shy away from eventually carried over into career life. I enjoyed the work I was doing but I wasn’t fully leveraging my professional superpower, [My relentless approach to identifying opportunities for efficiencies in the workplace, & creating & implementing solutions to make them happen]. After a healthy dose of introspection & pep talks from supportive friends & family, I left my professional comfort zone as well,
& set out on this new adventure.
